Mr. Roberto Martinoli

Roberto Martinoli is Senior Advisor to Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty. Martinoli joined Silversea Cruises as President and CEO in 2016, overseeing the company’s growth before transitioning to an advisory role at Royal Caribbean Group in 2023.

One of the most innovative and knowledgeable leaders in the maritime industry, Martinoli was at Silversea’s helm when Royal Caribbean Group acquired a two-thirds share in the leading ultra-luxury cruise line in July 2018, and, subsequently, when the Group completed the full acquisition in June 2020.

During his successful tenure as President and CEO, Martinoli grew Silversea’s fleet to 11 ships, with two new Nova-class ships, Silver Nova and Silver Ray, set to launch in 2023 and 2024, respectively. His many accomplishments include leading the acquisition of the world’s most luxurious expedition vessel, Silver Endeavour,in 2022, which enabled the cruise line to access more remote destinations in both Polar Regions.

Since beginning his career in 1976 with his family’s ship management and consulting business, Martinoli has held a number of executive positions at various major cruise lines and maritime companies around the world. Before joining Silversea, Martinoli was the Chairman and CEO of Grandi Navi Veloci, a leading ferry company and part of the MSC Group in the western Mediterranean. Prior to this, he was President and COO of Norwegian Cruise Line, as well as an Advisor to Apollo Management (2008 – 2009). He also served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Carnival Cruise Line (2000 – 2008) and Senior Vice President at Costa Crociere (1997 – 2000).

An Italian national, Martinoli holds a Master's Degree in Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa, and has also attended an Advanced Executive Program at Kellogg Northwestern University, Illinois.

Mr. Andrea Zito

Swan Hellenic CEO Andrea Zito began his career at Saipem before launching at in the 90’ a partnership with Martinoli Group as tech Manager for Costa Cruises .

Andrea moved to Monaco and expanded the Martinoli ship management business with leading tanker operators and cruise companies until merging with V-Ships in 2005.

After serving as CEO of V-Ships Leisure and V-Group CTO, he joined Silversea in 2017 as SVP Marine Operations, overseeing its new build programme and the integration with Royal Caribbean.

In early 2020, Andrea revived the Swan Hellenic brand with 3 luxury expedition new buildings from Helsinki Shipyard.
