CV:Jens Dose and Christian Speer combine a global network in shipping and have been heading the International Shipping Department of M.M.Warburg & CO since mid-2016. What started with a team of 5 those days has mean-while grown to a well-known team of 12 enthusiastic shipping bankers, mainly providing cash management ser-vices and ship finance for shipping clients internationally, with a particular focus on Greece, Cyprus, UK and Mon-aco, but to other regions as well. They have ambitious plans to grow the business further during the years to come. They have a proven track record financing vessels without facing losses for their employers.
Jens Dose studied Business Administration at University of Kiel (Germany) and University of Gothenborg (Swe-den) and gained practical experiences in the finance sector in Germany, Philadelphia and London during that time. Jens joined the International Division of Berenberg in 1997 as the very first employee focusing on the shipping sector. For many years Jens has been a Director and deputy head of the International Shipping Department. He has been in charge of building up a client portfolio and serving clients from the maritime industry mainly in Cyprus, UK, Isle of Man, Scandinavia, Monaco as well as Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. He is married and has two boys.
Christian Speer has been active in banking for 27 years holding several key positions at well-established financial institutions. Among his scope of activities he was heading the relationship management at OLB AG (today owned by Apollo) where he structured a syndicate of joint lenders for one of the early projects in renewable energy in the segment of wind farming. In 1999, he took over a position at Commerzbank AG for international trade finance and continued to arrange merger & acquisition within the e-mobility. Through project financing Christian entered the maritime industry in 2004 by taking over the position as Head for the Greek and Asian Shipping activities of Berenberg as well as the Americas. During this time, Christian built up a substantial portfolio of relationships with top tier clients and developed projects in the off-shore, dry-bulk and gen-eral cargo business. He has a Master in Finance & Management of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Manage-ment, is married and father of two children.
Dr. Christian Jasperneite went to Passau University in 1989 and graduated in Econonmics in 1994. He then be-came a research fellow at the Chair for Economic Policy and recieved his PhD in 2000. After being a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University Dr. Jasperneite started as analyst at the makro-research-team at M.M.Warburg in the year 2000. Between 2007 and 2009 Jasperneite was Chief Investment Officer at the family office of the Warburg Group. Since 2009 Jasperneite has been Chief Investment Officer at M.M.Warburg & CO.
In that function, he is not only responsible for the strategic and tactical allocation of the portfolio management, but also for the development of the digital wealth management. Christian is also a big fan of quantitative factor invest-ing strategies and implements these concepts for institutional and private clients. He is married and father of two children.
